Manthara’s Provocation and the Recalling of Two Boons
क्रोधागारं प्रविश्याऽद्य क्रुद्धेवाश्वपतेस्सुते।शेष्वाऽनन्तर्हितायां त्वं भूमौ मलिनवासिनी।।।।
krodhāgāraṃ praviśyādya kruddhevāśvapateḥ sute |
śeṣvānantarhitāyāṃ tvaṃ bhūmau malinavāsinī ||
हे अश्वपतीची कन्या! आज क्रोधागारात जा; खरोखर रागावल्यासारखी भूमीवर शय्या कर—अलंकार न घालता, मळकट वस्त्रे परिधान करून तिथेच पडून राहा।
If Rama is banished into the forest for fourteen years your son will be firmly established in the kingdom by affectionately winning the hearts of the people.
