पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च
Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī
स तु संज्ञां पुनर्लब्ध्वा नेत्राभ्यामस्रमुत्सृजन्।उपाक्रामत काकुत्स्थ कृपणं बहु भाषितुम्।।।।
sa tu saṁjñāṁ punar labdhvā netrābhyām aśram utsṛjan |
upākrāmata kākutstha kṛpaṇaṁ bahu bhāṣitum || 2.102.6 ||
परंतु काकुत्स्थ (राम) पुन्हा शुद्धीवर येताच, डोळ्यांतून अश्रू ढाळीत करुणपणे पुष्कळ बोलू लागला॥
On regaining consciousness, shedding tears profusely, Rama again started speaking piteously.
Dharma includes truthful acknowledgment of sorrow: Rāma does not suppress grief, but faces it openly, preparing to speak responsibly in a crisis.
After being revived, Rāma regains awareness and begins speaking again through tears.
Emotional honesty paired with resolve—Rāma’s capacity to return to speech and duty after collapse.
