पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च
Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī
हयैरन्ये गजैरन्ये रथैरन्ये स्वलङ्कृतैः।सुकुमारा स्तथैवान्ये पद्भिरेव नरा ययुः।।।।
hayair anyē gajair anyē rathair anyē svalaṅkṛtaiḥ |
sukumārās tathaivānyē padbhir ēva narā yayuḥ ||
काही घोड्यांवर, काही हत्तीवर, काही सुशोभित रथांवर गेले; आणि काही सुकुमार तरुण पुरुष पायीच निघाले।
Some rode horses, some, elephants, while others mounted well-decorated chariots, while the young went on foot.
