उपायकुशलं वैद्यं भृत्यसंदूषणे रतम्।शूरमैश्वर्यकामं च यो न हन्ति स हन्यते।।।।

upāya-kuśalaṁ vaidyaṁ bhṛtya-saṁdūṣaṇe ratam |

śūram aiśvarya-kāmaṁ ca yo na hanti sa hanyate ||

जो विद्वान असूनही कूटनीतीत कुशल, सेवकांना बिघडविण्यात आसक्त, आणि शूर असूनही ऐश्वर्यलोभी असतो—राजाने त्याचा नाश केला नाही तर कालांतराने तोच राजा नष्ट होतो.
