It praises tīrtha-vaṃśa-anukīrtana—recounting or reciting the lineages/traditions of sacred pilgrimage places—as a highly meritorious act.
It states that the practice bestows enhanced intelligence (medhā), grants a son to the sonless, and brings wealth to the poor.
The verse underscores the Purāṇic idea that reverent remembrance and recitation of sacred traditions (tīrthas and their heritage) is itself a transformative spiritual discipline with tangible and intangible rewards.
