The sages (Ṛṣayaḥ)

Concept: Reverent inquiry into sacred places is a gateway to dharma: knowing names and locations supports pilgrimage, remembrance, and ritual correctness.

Application: Keep a personal ‘tirtha-map’: learn one river/mountain/holy site weekly; pair knowledge with a small practice (japa, charity, Ekadashi resolve) to turn information into devotion.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A circle of sages sits on kusa grass with palm-leaf manuscripts, their hands raised in respectful inquiry. Behind them unfurls a visionary map: rivers as silver threads, mountains as blue-green ridges, and janapadas as patterned fields, all arranged like a mandala of the earth.","primary_figures":["Ṛṣayaḥ (sages)","learned narrator/sage (implied respondent)"],"setting":"Forest āśrama opening onto a visionary ‘earth-mandala’ sky-scroll","lighting_mood":"golden dawn","color_palette":["sage green","parchment beige","river-silver","lapis blue","sunrise gold"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: sages in a semicircle with gold-leaf halos, palm-leaf texts, and a large mandala-map behind showing stylized rivers and mountains; ornate arch frame, rich reds/greens, embossed gold borders, traditional iconographic symmetry.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: intimate ashram scene with delicate faces and fine textiles; a translucent scroll-like map floats in the sky with thin silver rivers and soft blue mountains; cool palette and lyrical trees, refined brushwork.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlined sages with expressive eyes; background as a stylized earth-mandala with thick river lines and mountain motifs; red-yellow-green pigments, temple-wall composition and floral borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central circle of sages framed by lotus borders; surrounding ring filled with river motifs, peacocks, and floral vines; deep blue ground with gold highlights, map elements rendered as decorative patterns."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"narrative","suggested_raga":"Bhupali","pace":"moderate-narrative","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["forest birds","rustling leaves","flowing water (distant)","soft bell at question’s end"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: ऋषय ऊचुः = ऋषयः + ऊचुः (विसर्ग-लोपः)। चान्ये = च + अन्ये। भूमिमाश्रिताः = भूमिम् + आश्रिताः (म् + आ सन्धिः)।
