FAQs

It presents a phala-śruti: devotional hearing or facilitating recitation of the sacred passage grants fearlessness, showing that śravaṇa done with bhakti purifies the mind and invokes divine protection.

Bhakti is expressed through śravaṇa—listening with faith—and through helping others hear (śrāvayet). The verse teaches that devotion is not only personal practice but also sharing sacred sound with a steady, focused mind.

It emphasizes disciplined recitation and attentive listening (a śikṣā-like focus on proper transmission of sacred sound) and the ritual principle of phala-śruti—stating the tangible results of hearing/reciting.
