Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"adbhuta","emotional_journey":"A sober admission of the immeasurable scope of tīrtha traditions, shading into wonder at their endless narratives."}
It teaches the vastness of tīrtha-māhātmya: every sacred place carries layered, dharma-shaping legends, so the Purāṇa offers a guided selection rather than an exhaustive catalogue.
By emphasizing that each tīrtha has expansive kathās, it points to bhakti being nourished through hearing sacred narratives (śravaṇa) that awaken reverence, faith, and remembrance tied to holy places.
Indirectly, it highlights itihāsa-purāṇa style pedagogy—using structured kathā (narrative exposition) to transmit dharma; no specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is explicitly taught in this verse.
