FAQs

The verse emphasizes that even forces that cause disturbance (kṣobha) operate under divine command (ājñā), reinforcing the Purāṇic idea that cosmic events unfold within a governed moral and spiritual order.

By calling the Lord “Jagannātha” and seeking His instruction, the verse highlights surrender to the supreme will; in Bhakti, recognizing the Lord as the ultimate director helps devotees remain steady amid agitation and adversity.

No direct Vedāṅga instruction appears; however, the verse models precise command-language (ādiśa/ājñā) and semantic clarity—principles valued in Vyākaraṇa (grammar) and Nirukta (meaning) when interpreting scriptural intent.
