कलिजानां तु पापानां पावनाय महात्मनाम् । ब्रह्मणा कल्पितं तीर्थं कुरुक्षेत्रं सुखावहम् ॥ १२८ ॥

kalijānāṃ tu pāpānāṃ pāvanāya mahātmanām | brahmaṇā kalpitaṃ tīrthaṃ kurukṣetraṃ sukhāvaham || 128 ||

कलियुगात जन्मलेल्या जनांच्या पापशुद्धीसाठी आणि महात्म्यांच्या कल्याणासाठी ब्रह्म्याने ‘कुरुक्षेत्र’ हे सुखावह तीर्थ कल्पिले।
