brāhmaṇapravaro bhūtvā sarvaśāstrārthapāragaḥ | jñānaṃ tatra samāsādya muktiṃ prāpnoti durlabhām || 39 ||
श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण होऊन आणि सर्व शास्त्रार्थांत पारंगत होऊन, तेथे खरे ज्ञान प्राप्त करतो; आणि त्या ज्ञानाने दुर्लभ मोक्ष मिळवितो.
Narada (instructional narration within Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"shanta","secondary_rasa":"bhakti","emotional_journey":"From the ideal of brahminical excellence and śāstra-mastery to the quiet culmination in rare mokṣa through realized knowledge."}
It teaches that spiritual maturity is shown by becoming grounded in brāhmaṇa-dharma and penetrating the meanings of śāstra; from that arises liberating knowledge, which culminates in the rare attainment of mokṣa.
While bhakti is not named explicitly, the verse supports bhakti by emphasizing purified character and right understanding of śāstra—both of which stabilize devotion and mature it into jñāna that leads to liberation.
The verse broadly points to competence in śāstra-artha (scriptural meaning), which practically depends on Vedāṅga-based tools like Vyākaraṇa (grammar) and Nirukta (etymology) to interpret texts accurately.
