Narada
Vrata: Śiva-caturdaśī worship (general; month not specified here)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the Purāṇic principle that disciplined, pure worship of Śiva on an auspicious tithi (caturdaśī) yields a vast merit (puṇya) culminating in long residence in Svarga, lasting until pralaya.
Bhakti here is expressed as arcanā—focused worship done with inner restraint (prayataḥ) and outer purity (śuci). The verse teaches that sincere devotional observance, aligned with sacred time, produces powerful spiritual results.
It relies on Jyotiṣa/Vedāṅga time-reckoning through the tithi “caturdaśī,” showing how ritual efficacy in Purāṇic practice is linked to calendrical precision and purity observances.
