त्वामेव शरणं प्राप्ता पितुर्वचनगौरवात् । तद्भवान्प्रणताया मे गंगामाहात्म्यंसंयुतम् । देवताराधनं ब्रूहि यच्छ्रुत्वा मुच्यते ह्यघात् ॥ ५ ॥

tvāmeva śaraṇaṃ prāptā piturvacanagauravāt | tadbhavānpraṇatāyā me gaṃgāmāhātmyaṃsaṃyutam | devatārādhanaṃ brūhi yacchrutvā mucyate hyaghāt || 5 ||

पित्याच्या वचनाचा मान राखून मी केवळ तुमच्या शरणी आले आहे. म्हणून, हे पूज्यवर, मी नम्रपणे वंदन करते—गंगेच्या माहात्म्यासह देवतांची आराधना सांगावी; ते ऐकून मनुष्य पापातून मुक्त होतो.
