The Greatness of Bathing in the Ganges

Gaṅgā-snānā-mahātmya

सायंकाले शतगुणमनन्तं शिवसन्निधौ । कपिलाकोटिदानाद्धि गंगास्नानं विशिष्यते ॥ ४५ ॥

sāyaṃkāle śataguṇamanantaṃ śivasannidhau | kapilākoṭidānāddhi gaṃgāsnānaṃ viśiṣyate || 45 ||

सायंकाळी (गंगास्नानाचे) पुण्य शतपटी होते, आणि शिवसन्निधीत अनंत. कोटी कपिला गायींच्या दानापेक्षाही गंगास्नान श्रेष्ठ मानले आहे।
