Yama’s Journey to Brahmaloka
Ekadashi–Dvadashi Mahatmya in the Rukmangada Cycle
ऋषय ऊचुः । विस्तरेण समाख्या हि विष्णोराराधनक्रियाम् । यया तोषं समायाति प्रददाति समीहितम् ॥ १ ॥
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ | vistareṇa samākhyā hi viṣṇorārādhanakriyām | yayā toṣaṃ samāyāti pradadāti samīhitam || 1 ||
ऋषी म्हणाले—विष्णूच्या आराधनेची विधी सविस्तर सांगा, ज्यायोगे तो प्रसन्न होऊन इच्छित फल देतो।
The Sages (Ṛṣis)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames Viṣṇu-worship (ārādhana) as a complete spiritual method: when performed properly it brings the Lord’s satisfaction (toṣa) and results (phala), linking inner devotion with outer practice.
Bhakti is presented as the direct means to please Viṣṇu; the sages ask for the specific worship-procedure because devotion becomes most effective when expressed through disciplined, scriptural ārādhana.
The verse signals a focus on ritual procedure (kriyā)—the domain of kalpa (ritual science) and related observances—though it does not name a specific Vedāṅga directly.
