Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It sanctifies a simple purification act (remembering names over a handful of water) by linking it to Devī’s auspicious epithets—radiance, moonlight, prosperity, and loving grace—so the ritual becomes inward recollection rather than mere external action.
Bhakti here is practiced as nāma-smaraṇa: devotion expressed through mindful remembrance of divine names even within routine rites, training the mind to stay connected to the sacred throughout daily conduct.
It reflects practical ritual discipline tied to Vedāṅga-oriented procedure—using prescribed recitation/mental remembrance (mantra-smaraṇa) with water in ācamana-like contexts to establish śauca (purity) and steadiness of attention.
