Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in a technical/vidyā context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It catalogues specialized mantra-vidyās (technical rites) and their stated worldly effects, illustrating that Book 1.3 records auxiliary/technical knowledge rather than only devotional theology.
This particular verse is not a bhakti teaching; it belongs to a technical enumeration of vidyās. In the Narada Purana’s broader frame, such powers are secondary to dharma and devotion, and are typically treated as auxiliary knowledge.
It reflects applied mantra-vidyā traditions (often discussed alongside auxiliary sciences) by listing named formulas/vidyās and their intended ritual outcomes, a hallmark of the Third Pada’s technical orientation.
