जानुमात्रे स्थितौ दृष्ट्वा ब्रह्मणं कमलस्थितम् । प्रवृत्तावत्तुमालक्ष्य तुष्टाव जगदंबिकाम् ॥ ३ ॥

jānumātre sthitau dṛṣṭvā brahmaṇaṃ kamalasthitam | pravṛttāvattumālakṣya tuṣṭāva jagadaṃbikām || 3 ||

कमळावर स्थित ब्रह्माला पाहून, आणि ते (दोघे) गुडघ्याएवढ्या पाण्यात उभे राहून त्याला गिळण्यास प्रवृत्त झाले आहेत असे लक्षात येताच, तिने जगदंबिका—जगन्मातेची—स्तुती केली ॥ ३ ॥
