The Account of Hanumān
āvirbhūto'smyahaṃ pūrvaṃ rājño daśarathakṣaye | caturyūhātmakastakatra tasya bhāryātraye mune || 7 ||
Vishnu (as the divine being embodying the Caturvyuha, recalling the Ramayana context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links yajña (sacrificial rite) with divine grace: Vishnu reveals Himself in a concrete, accessible form, showing that dharma performed with devotion can become a doorway for the Lord’s saving presence.
By emphasizing Vishnu’s self-manifestation for the sake of devotees (here, Daśaratha’s household), the verse reinforces a bhakti principle: the Lord responds to sincere devotion and righteous worship, taking forms that nourish faith and fulfill dharmic aims.
It points to the applied side of Vedic ritual (Kalpa): the efficacy and purpose of yajña, where correct performance and intention are presented as conditions for divine appearance and boon-bestowal.
