The Account of Hanumān
tatra gatvāśramamṛberdūṣayantī niśācarau | dhvastau subāhumārīcau prasanno'bhūttadā muniḥ || 10 ||
Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: vira
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It highlights the sanctity of a sage’s āśrama and the dharmic necessity of removing forces that defile sacred practice; peace (prasāda) arises when obstacles to tapas and yajña are eliminated.
By implying that devotion and sacred disciplines flourish in a protected, pure environment—when disruptive, adharmic influences are checked, the devotee’s and sage’s mind becomes prasanna (serene), enabling steadier bhakti.
The verse indirectly supports Kalpa (ritual procedure) and Śauca (purity) concerns: yajña/āśrama must be kept free from dūṣaṇa (defilement) so Vedic rites can proceed without interruption.
