Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents Vedic knowledge as worthy of reverential worship, placing the Vedas and key Vedangas in an ordered ritual layout, implying that sacred learning supports and sanctifies dharmic practice.
While primarily technical, it frames study and allied sciences as offerings—turning disciplines like Jyotiṣa and Vyākaraṇa into acts of upāsanā, which complements Vishnu-bhakti through disciplined, reverent engagement with śāstra.
The verse explicitly highlights Nirukta (Vedic interpretation/etymology), Jyotiṣa (astronomy/astrology for timing rites), and Vyākaraṇa (grammar for correct textual understanding and recitation).
