Gaṅgāmāhātmya

अहो गङ्गा महाभागा स्मृता पापप्रणाशिनी । हरिलोकप्रदा दृष्टा पीता सारूप्यदायिनी । यत्र स्नाता नरा यान्ति विष्णोः पदमनुत्तमम् ॥ ६७ ॥

aho gaṅgā mahābhāgā smṛtā pāpapraṇāśinī | harilokapradā dṛṣṭā pītā sārūpyadāyinī | yatra snātā narā yānti viṣṇoḥ padamanuttamam || 67 ||

अहो! महाभागा गंगा—स्मरणमात्राने पाप नाश करणारी; दर्शनाने हरिलोक देणारी; पान केल्याने प्रभूचे सारूप्य देणारी आहे। जिच्यात स्नान करून नर विष्णूचे अनुत्तम पद प्राप्त करतात।
