mayā kṛtā ni pāpāni mahāṃti subahūni ca | tāni sarvāṇi naṣṭāni vipreṃdra tava darśanāt || 54 ||
हे विप्रेंद्र! मी मोठी आणि असंख्य पापे केली आहेत; पण तुमच्या दर्शनमात्राने ती सर्व नष्ट झाली आहेत.
Unspecified devotee/supplicant addressing a Brahmin sage (viprendra)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that contact with a truly virtuous Brahmin-sage—especially through simple darśana—has purificatory power, capable of destroying accumulated sins (pāpa-kṣaya) without elaborate external means.
By emphasizing purification through darśana of the saintly, it aligns with bhakti’s principle that association with devotees awakens inner transformation; reverence to a holy person becomes a doorway to spiritual cleansing and devotion.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa, Jyotiṣa, or Śikṣā) is directly taught; the practical takeaway is ethical-dharmic: seek sādhus and holy teachers as a living form of prayāścitta and self-correction.
