Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states that timely renunciation is crucial for liberation: delaying the decisive turn toward sannyāsa and Vedānta-discipline leads to spiritual decline, while peace, restraint, and sense-mastery make Vedānta effective.
Although it speaks in Vedānta terms, the inner spirit supports bhakti: controlling the senses and becoming tranquil removes distractions, making single-pointed devotion and remembrance of the Supreme steady and mature.
Rather than a specific Vedāṅga like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa, the verse highlights practical sādhanā—abhyāsa (systematic repetition) and indriya-nigraha (sense-discipline)—as the applied method for Vedānta study and contemplation.
