कषायं चैव मांजिष्टं हारिद्रं च प्रकीर्तितम् । उपनीतो द्विजो विप्र परिचर्यापरो गुरोः ॥ २१ ॥
kaṣāyaṃ caiva māṃjiṣṭaṃ hāridraṃ ca prakīrtitam | upanīto dvijo vipra paricaryāparo guroḥ || 21 ||
कषाय (गेरू), मांजिष्ठ (मंजिष्ठा-लाल) आणि हारिद्र (हळदी-पिवळे) वस्त्रही सांगितले आहेत. उपनयन झाल्यावर द्विज—हे ब्राह्मण—गुरूच्या सेवेत तत्पर राहावा.
