Adhyaya 82 — The Rise of Mahishasura and the Manifestation of the Goddess from the Gods’ Tejas
शोणितौघा महा नद्यः सद्यस्तत्र विसुस्रुवुः ।
मध्ये चासुरसैन्यस्य वारणासुरवाजिनाम् ॥
śoṇitaughā mahānadyaḥ sadyastatra visustruvuḥ / madhye cāsurasainyasya vāraṇāsuravājinām
तेथे असुरसेनेच्या मध्यभागी, हत्ती, असुर व घोड्यांमध्ये, रक्ताचे प्रचंड प्रवाह—जणू महान नद्या—क्षणात वाहू लागले।
