Shloka 65

Adhyaya 69 — The King’s Neglect of His Wife and the Restoration of Dharma

Sanskrit

गच्छ संयो जयाशु त्वं भार्यया हि द्विजात्तमम् । मा पापास्पदतां यातु त्वमिवासौ दिने दिने ॥

Transliteration

gaccha saṃyojayāśu tvaṃ bhāryayā hi dvijāttamam / mā pāpāspadatāṃ yātu tvam ivāsau dine dine

Translation

जा— लवकर त्या श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणाला त्याच्या पत्नीशी पुन्हा एकत्र कर; नाहीतर तो दिवसेंदिवस पापाच्या आसनात पडेल, जसा तू पडलास.
