किन्त्वेषा मे सखी सा च मत्कृते दुःखपीडिते ।
अतो नाभिलषे भोगान् भोक्तुमेतेन वै समम् ॥
kintv eṣā me sakhī sā ca mat-kṛte duḥkha-pīḍite | ato nābhilaṣe bhogān bhoktum etena vai samam ||
पण ती माझी सखी आहे आणि माझ्यामुळे ती शोकाने पीडित आहे. म्हणून ती दुःखी असताना मी त्याच्यासोबत (पती म्हणून) सुखभोग उपभोगू इच्छित नाही।
