Adhyaya 54 — Cosmography of Jambudvipa: Continents, Oceans, Varshas, and Mount Meru
वेद्यर्धे दक्षिणे त्रीणि त्रीणि वर्षाणि चोत्तरे ।
इलावृतं तयोर्मध्ये चन्द्रार्धाकारवत् स्थितम् ॥
vedyardhe dakṣime trīṇi trīṇi varṣāṇi cottare | ilāvṛtaṃ tayor madhye candrārdhākāravat sthitam ||
या (विश्व) वेदीभूमीच्या दक्षिणार्धात तीन प्रदेश आहेत आणि उत्तरार्धातही तीन प्रदेश आहेत. त्यांच्या मध्ये अर्धचंद्राकार रूपाने इलावृत स्थित आहे.
