तस्मान्नैतत् करिष्यामो नीचीर्‍णं यत् पुरातनैः ।

जीवन् भद्राण्यवाप्नोति जीवन् पुण्यं करोति च ॥

Transliteration

tasmān naitat kariṣyāmo nīcīrṇaṃ yat purātanaiḥ /

jīvan bhadrāṇy avāpnoti jīvan puṇyaṃ karoti ca

म्हणून आम्ही हे करणार नाही—जे नीच आहे आणि जे प्राचीनांनी आचरलेले नाही। जिवंत असतानाच शुभ फल मिळते, आणि जिवंत असतानाच पुण्यही केले जाते।
