Adhyaya 23 — Ashvatara’s Vow for Madalasa and the Bestowal of Musical Science by Sarasvati
सदसद्देवि! यत् किंचिन्मोक्षवच्चार्थवत् पदम् ।
तत्सर्वं त्वय्यसंयोगं योगवद्देवि! संस्थितम् ॥
sadasad devi yat kiñcin mokṣavac cārthavat padam | tat sarvaṁ tvayy asaṁyogaṁ yogavad devi saṁsthitam ||
हे देवी! सत् आणि असत् रूपाने जे काही वचन/उच्चार आहे—मोक्षदायी असो वा अर्थवाही—ते सर्व योगासारखे अविभाज्य रीतीने तुझ्यातच स्थित आहे।

Speech and meaning are sacred responsibilities: since all meaningful and liberative utterance rests in the Goddess, one should cultivate truthful, disciplined, and dharmic use of vāk.
