देवा ऊचुः वरं वृणीष्व कल्याणि देवकार्यं महत् कृतम् ।
त्वया यस्मात् ततो देवा वरदास्ते तपस्विनि ॥
devā ūcuḥ varaṃ vṛṇīṣva kalyāṇi deva-kāryaṃ mahat kṛtam | tvayā yasmāt tato devā varadās te tapasvini ||
देव म्हणाले—हे भद्रे, वर माग. तू देवांसाठी महान कार्य सिद्ध केले आहे; म्हणून, हे तपस्विनी, आम्ही तुला वर देणारे आहोत.
