Virāṭa-parva Adhyāya 13 — Kīcaka’s Proposition and Draupadī’s Dharmic Refusal
तस्मै प्रदेयं प्रायच्छत् प्रीतो राजा धन बहु । विनीतान् वृषभान् दृष्टवा सहदेवस्य चाभित: । धनं ददौ बहुविधं विराट: पुरुषर्षभ:
tasmai pradeyaṁ prāyacchat prīto rājā dhana bahu | vinītān vṛṣabhān dṛṣṭvā sahadevasya cābhitaḥ | dhanaṁ dadau bahuvidhaṁ virāṭaḥ puruṣarṣabhaḥ |
वैशंपायन म्हणाले— प्रसन्न होऊन राजाने त्याला बक्षीस म्हणून पुष्कळ धन दिले. आणि सहदेवाच्या देखरेखीखाली शिस्तबद्ध व वश झालेले बैल पाहून पुरुषश्रेष्ठ विराटाने त्यालाही अनेक प्रकारचे विपुल धन प्रदान केले।
