ज्ञातिसम्बन्धिविपुले सत्त्वाद्याश्रयसम्मिते । कुले महति विख्याते विशिष्टां वृत्तिमास्थित:
jñātisambandhivipule sattvādyāśrayasam mite | kule mahati vikhyāte viśiṣṭāṃ vṛttim āsthitaḥ ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—तो महान व प्रसिद्ध कुळात होता; तेथे ज्ञाती-नातेवाईकांची विपुलता होती आणि सत्त्वादी सद्गुणांचा आधार घेतला जात असे. त्या उज्ज्वल कुळात राहून त्याने उत्तम व विशिष्ट उपजीविकेचा आश्रय घेऊन जीवननिर्वाह केला.
