Systems of Knowledge and Vyāsa’s Nārāyaṇa-Origin
सम्भूता: सर्वसम्भारास्तस्मिन् राजन् महाक्रतौ । न तत्र पशुघातो5भूत् स राजैवं स्थितो5भवत्
sambhūtāḥ sarva-sambhārās tasmin rājan mahā-kratau | na tatra paśu-ghāto 'bhūt sa rājā evaṃ sthito 'bhavat ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—राजन्, त्या महाक्रतूमध्ये सर्व यज्ञसामग्री नीट एकत्र झाली होती; तरीही तेथे कोणत्याही पशूचा वध झाला नाही. अहिंसा व धर्मयुक्त यज्ञच करावा, या हेतूने राजा उपरिचर त्या यज्ञात स्थिर राहिला.
