Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तस्यर्षेरुपविष्टस्थ पादमूले महामते । मनुष्यवद्गतो भावो स्नेहबद्धों& भवद् भूशम्
tasyarṣer upaviṣṭastha-pādamūle mahāmate | manuṣyavad gato bhāvo sneha-baddho ’bhavad bhūśam ||
भीष्म म्हणाले—महामते! त्या महर्षींच्या पायाजवळ बसताच त्या कुत्र्याच्या मनात मनुष्याप्रमाणे स्नेहभाव उत्पन्न झाला. तो ऋषींवर अत्यंत प्रेमाने घट्ट बांधला गेला.
