Educational Q&A

Even when one possesses overwhelming power, ethical restraint and concern for life are upheld: Garuḍa urges immediate action to prevent harm, emphasizing protection of life and responsible use of strength.

Garuḍa addresses a brāhmaṇa who is in danger of being consumed by Garuḍa’s internal heat; he instructs him to take the Niṣādī woman along and leave at once, since the brāhmaṇa has not yet been digested and can still escape.
