Educational Q&A

The verse points to two exemplary narratives: the restoration of a sage to youth and the celebrated story of a righteous king. Together they underscore that spiritual power and royal virtue, when aligned with dharma, become worthy of remembrance and instruction.

The text briefly notes that ‘those two’ caused the sage Cyavana to regain youth, and it signals that the episode of King Māndhātṛ is also recounted in the same section, functioning as a transition or index to connected stories.
