sūta uvāca tasmādyo vāsudevāya praṇāmaṃ kurute naraḥ sa yāti dhruvasālokyaṃ dhruvatvaṃ tasya tattathā
Suta
It reinforces that sincere praṇāma (reverential surrender) is a valid upāya (means) for the pashu (soul) to move toward divine proximity (sālokya), aligning with Linga Purana’s emphasis that devotion and humility are central to Shiva-oriented worship and liberation.
By praising reverence to Vāsudeva within the Linga Purana’s framework, it reflects the Purāṇic teaching of non-contradiction between the Supreme (Pati) and divine forms; the Lord grants stable, unwavering spiritual attainment (dhruvatva) when the soul turns from pasha (bondage) toward the Divine.
Praṇāma—bowing with devotion—is highlighted as a concise practice of surrender (bhakti-yukta namaskāra), a supportive limb for Pashupata-oriented discipline by reducing ego (ahaṅkāra) and strengthening steadiness (dhruvatva).
