mahodadhīnāṃ prabhave dvīpānāṃ prabhave namaḥ adrīṇāṃ prabhave caiva varṣāṇāṃ prabhave namaḥ
Suta Goswami (narrating a hymn within the Linga Purana’s Shaiva stuti context)
It frames Shiva (the Linga’s reality) as jagat-kāraṇa—the causal ground of the world—so worship is not limited to a local icon but honors the Pati who supports all realms, oceans, mountains, and lands.
Shiva-tattva is presented as prabhava, the originating source behind manifest forms; the verse points to Shiva as Pati, the sovereign cause in whom the cosmos arises and by whom it is sustained.
A stuti-based upāsanā: contemplative praise that trains Pashupata-oriented vision to perceive all created structures as dependent on Pati, loosening pasha (bondage) through remembrance and devotion.
