विष्णुरुवाच—एकाक्षर-प्रणव-लिङ्ग-व्याप्ति-शिवस्तोत्रम्

ईशानाय श्मशानाय अतिवेगाय वेगिने नमो ऽस्तु श्रुतिपादाय ऊर्ध्वलिङ्गाय लिङ्गिने

īśānāya śmaśānāya ativegāya vegine namo 'stu śrutipādāya ūrdhvaliṅgāya liṅgine

ईशान—श्मशानवासी—अतिवेगी, वेगवान यास नमोऽस्तु। ज्यांचे चरणच श्रुती (वेद) आहेत त्या श्रुतिपादास; ऊर्ध्वलिंग व लिंगी (लिंगाधिपती) यांस प्रणाम।
