विद्या सैवार्थशास्त्राख्या देवान्तान्या हरिर्महान् इत्येषा चापरा विद्या परिविद्याक्षरं परं

vidyā saivārthaśāstrākhyā devāntānyā harirmahān ityeṣā cāparā vidyā parividyākṣaraṃ paraṃ

अर्थशास्त्र नावाची विद्या हीही विद्या आहे; आणि देवांपर्यंत परिणत होणारी दुसरी विद्या म्हणते—‘हरि महान् (परम) आहे।’ अशी ही अपरा विद्या; परंतु परम अक्षराचे सम्यक् ज्ञान झाल्यास परा अनुभूती प्राप्त होते.
