इत्य् आग्नेये महापुराणे ब्रह्मज्ञानं नामाष्टसप्तत्यधिकत्रिशततमो ऽध्यायः अथोनाशीत्यधिकत्रिशततमो ऽध्यायः अद्वैतब्रह्मविज्ञानं अग्निर् उवाच अद्वैतब्रह्मविज्ञानं वक्ष्ये यद्भवतो ऽगदत् शालग्राने तपश् चक्रे वासुदेवार्चनादिकृत्

ity āgneye mahāpurāṇe brahmajñānaṃ nāmāṣṭasaptatyadhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ athonāśītyadhikatriśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ advaitabrahmavijñānaṃ agnir uvāca advaitabrahmavijñānaṃ vakṣye yadbhavato 'gadat śālagrāne tapaś cakre vāsudevārcanādikṛt

अशा प्रकारे अग्नि-महापुराणातील ‘ब्रह्मज्ञान’ नावाचा तीनशे अठ्ठ्याहत्तरावा अध्याय संपला. आता ‘अद्वैत-ब्रह्मविज्ञान’ नावाचा तीनशे एकोणऐंशीवा अध्याय सुरू होतो. अग्नि म्हणाले—तुम्ही विचारले तसे मी अद्वैत ब्रह्माचे विज्ञान सांगतो. साधकाने शालग्राम येथे तप केले व वासुदेवादींची पूजा-अर्चा केली.
