Chapter 306 — त्रैलोक्यमोहनमन्त्राः
Mantras for Enchanting the Three Worlds
मालिनं पीतवस्त्रञ्च चक्राद्याढ्यं हरिं यजेत् वाहा खड्गतीक्ष्ण छिन्द खड्गाय नमः शारङ्गाय सशराय हूं फट् भूतग्रामाय विद्महे चतुर्विधाय धीमहि तन्नो ब्रह्म प्रचोदयात् सम्बर्तक श्वसन पोथय हूं फट् स्वाहा पाश बन्ध आकर्षय हूं फट् अङ्कुशेन कट्ट हूं फट् क्रमाद्भुजेषु मन्त्रैः स्वैर् एभिरस्त्राणि पूजयेत्
mālinaṃ pītavastrañca cakrādyāḍhyaṃ hariṃ yajet vāhā khaḍgatīkṣṇa chinda khaḍgāya namaḥ śāraṅgāya saśarāya hūṃ phaṭ bhūtagrāmāya vidmahe caturvidhāya dhīmahi tanno brahma pracodayāt sambartaka śvasana pothaya hūṃ phaṭ svāhā pāśa bandha ākarṣaya hūṃ phaṭ aṅkuśena kaṭṭa hūṃ phaṭ kramādbhujeṣu mantraiḥ svair ebhirastrāṇi pūjayet
माळ घातलेला, पिवळे वस्त्र परिधान केलेला, चक्रादी आयुधांनी संपन्न असा हरि याचे पूजन करावे. नंतर आयुध-मंत्र म्हणावेत— “वाहा! हे तीक्ष्ण खड्गा, छेद कर; खड्गाय नमः. शार्ङ्ग (धनुष्य) व बाणासह—हूं फट्. भूतग्राम आम्ही जाणतो, चतुर्विध व्यवस्थेचे ध्यान करतो; तो ब्रह्म आम्हांस प्रेरणा देवो. हे सम्बर्तक वारा, चिरड/कुट—हूं फट् स्वाहा. हे पाशा, बांध; आकर्षित कर—हूं फट्. अङ्कुशाने प्रहार—हूं फट्.” अशा रीतीने क्रमाने, त्या त्या मंत्रांनी देवाच्या भुजांवर आयुधांची पूजा करावी.

Sandhi Resolution Notes: pītavastrañca → pīta-vastram + ca; cakrādyāḍhyaṃ → cakra-ādi-āḍhyam; tanno → tat + naḥ; kramādbhujeṣu → kramāt + bhujeṣu; svair ebhiḥ → svaiḥ + ebhiḥ (visarga sandhi).
It teaches astra-pūjā: worshipping Viṣṇu together with his weapon-deities by placing/adorning them on the arms in sequence and reciting their specific command-mantras (e.g., “chinda,” “bandha,” “ākarṣaya,” with hūṃ phaṭ, svāhā).
Alongside theology, it preserves practical liturgical technology—mantra-forms, weapon-deity invocations, and ritual sequencing—showing the Agni Purana’s coverage of pūjā-vidhi and tantricized devotional procedure, not merely mythic narrative.
By honoring Hari and his astras with protective/command mantras, the practitioner seeks purification and safeguarding (rakṣā), removal of obstacles, and alignment with divine order through disciplined, rule-based worship.
