FAQs

It maps specific offering-substances (dūrvā, lotus, udumbara, ghee, and a sacred tree/wood) to desired outcomes—longevity, prosperity, progeny, cattle-success, and intellect—guiding choice of dravya in pūjā.

It functions like a compact ritual manual index: a practical correlation-table of materials and results, typical of the Agni Purāṇa’s wide-ranging, applied instructions across worship, household prosperity, and livelihood (e.g., cattle-wealth).

It teaches that properly chosen, sāttvika offerings in a ritually appropriate setting (such as the goṣṭha) channel merit toward specific life-goals (āyuḥ, śrī, putra, go-sampad, medhā), aligning worldly welfare with dharmic worship.
