आरनालस्तु कुल्माषं वाह्लीकं हिङ्गु रामठं निशा हरिद्रा पीता स्त्री खण्डे मत्स्यण्डिफाणिते

‘आरनाल’ हे कुल्माष (आंबट मांड/किण्वित कडधान्य-तयारी) याचे दुसरे नाव आहे। ‘वाह्लीक’ म्हणजे हिंग (हिङ्गु), ज्याला ‘रामठ’ असेही म्हणतात। ‘निशा’ म्हणजे हळद (हरिद्रा); ‘पीता’ व ‘स्त्री’ हीही तिची नावे आहेत। ‘खण्ड’ हे मत्स्यण्डी-फाणित (गूळ/शीरा प्रकार) याचे नाव आहे।
