It imparts nighaṇṭu-style technical vocabulary: precise synonymous terms for crop parts (ear of grain), grass-clumps, and rice—useful for agriculture, medicine lists, and ritual supply identification.
By cataloguing specialized field-terms and synonyms, it functions like a technical glossary embedded in the Purana—supporting accurate identification of materials across disciplines such as Ayurveda, ritual procurement, and agronomy.
The direct aim is correct knowledge and correct naming; in Purāṇic practice, accurate identification of substances supports error-free rites and offerings, which is treated as preserving ritual purity and merit.
