FAQs

It teaches a Garuḍa-centered viṣahara (anti-poison) mantra in a gāyatrī-style form and prescribes its practical use via abhimantraṇa (charging) and nyāsa/installation on a well-consecrated stambha (pillar), including specific named placements/attendants and white markings at the chest, throat, and crest.

Alongside theology, it preserves applied ritual technology—protective mantra-formulas, installation procedures, and iconographic/nyāsa details—showing the Purāṇa as a compendium that includes healing/protection rites (proto-medical and tantric-mantric praxis) in addition to narrative material.

By invoking Garuḍa as a purifier and poison-destroyer and performing consecrated placement (nyāsa), the rite is framed as both a protective remedy and a purification act—removing harmful influences (viṣa/doṣa) and establishing auspicious, dhārmic safeguarding in the practitioner’s space.
