Vidya Category: {"primary_vidya":"Shilpa","secondary_vidya":"Puja-vidhi","practical_application":"Classify the worship-presence (arcā) and the indwelling principle (ātmā) into standardized numerical schemes (1/5/10/12) to align icon-consecration, nyāsa, and ritual visualization with a chosen recension.","sutra_style":true}

Encyclopedic Reference: {"reference_type":"List","entry_title":"Arcā–Ātmā Bheda: Ekadhā–Pañcadhā–Daśadhā–Dvādaśadhā","lookup_keywords":["arcā-bheda","ātmā-bheda","pañcadhā","dvādaśadhā","tattva-cintaka"],"quick_summary":"The verse records variant taxonomies (by recension) for understanding the worship-icon/presence and the Self as onefold, fivefold, tenfold, or twelvefold. Practically, it authorizes multiple orthodox counting-systems for ritual and contemplative mapping."}

Concept: Legitimate plurality of tattva/arcā enumerations; the same reality can be mapped by different orthodox numerical schemas.

Application: Choose a consistent enumeration for pūjā, nyāsa, and dhyāna so that mantra, aṅga-nyāsa, and icon-presence correspond without contradiction.

Khanda Section: Puja-vidhi / Murti-arcana-tattva (Iconography and ritual taxonomy)

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A ritual teacher points to palm-leaf manuscripts showing variant enumerations (1/5/10/12) while an installed icon (arcā) is diagrammed with five and twelve aṅgas; contemplatives (tattva-cintakas) sit nearby with counting-rosaries and yantra-like charts.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala temple mural style, warm earthy palette, a guru in white dhoti indicating palm-leaf manuscripts with red ink marks, a sanctum icon behind a curtain, schematic aṅga divisions subtly painted around the deity aura, calm contemplative faces, flat decorative background.","tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting, central arcā with radiant prabhāmaṇḍala and gold leaf, side panels showing fivefold and twelvefold divisions as lotus-petal medallions, a scholar holding manuscripts, rich jewelry and textile detail, temple lamp glow.","mysore_prompt":"Mysore painting style, fine linework, instructional diagram feel: icon with labeled aṅgas (5 and 12) in Sanskrit, a seated tattva-cintaka with manuscript, muted pastel background, delicate ornamentation.","mughal_miniature_prompt":"Mughal miniature, courtly scholars comparing two manuscript recensions, a small shrine with an icon at the side, precise calligraphic labels for ekadhā/pañcadhā/daśadhā/dvādaśadhā, architectural interior with patterned carpets."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"instructional","suggested_raga":"Bhairav","pace":"medium","voice_tone":"instructional"}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: tatra+ekadhā→tatraikadhā; syāt+daśa→syāddaśa (final -t before voiced d); daśa+dvādaśa+dhā+api→daśadvādaśadhāpi; sarva+bhedena→sarvabhedena; grathitaḥ tattvacintakaiḥ taken as separate words; manuscript notes (gha/ṅa/kha etc.) omitted from pada analysis.

FAQs

It teaches a ritual-metaphysical taxonomy: the worshipful presence (arcā) and the inner principle (ātmā) are classified as onefold/fivefold and, by expanded enumeration, as tenfold or twelvefold—useful for structuring arcana, nyāsa, and icon-limb (aṅga) based worship systems.

By preserving multiple enumerative schemes (1/5/10/12) and acknowledging recension-based readings, it functions like a compendium—cataloging alternative doctrinal-ritual frameworks used across temple practice and tattva discourse.

Correctly knowing the arcā and ātmā classifications supports disciplined, error-free worship and contemplation; such ordered understanding is presented as a means to align external ritual with internal realization, strengthening purity and devotional efficacy.
