काली कराली विक्रान्ता कालरात्रि नमोऽस्तु ते ॥ इति स्तुता तदा देवी रुद्रेण परमेष्ठिना ॥

kālī karālī vikrāntā kālarātri namo 'stu te || iti stutā tadā devī rudreṇa parameṣṭhinā ||

“ഓ കാളീ, ഓ കരാളീ, ഓ വിക്രാന്താ, ഓ കാലരാത്രീ—നിനക്കു നമസ്കാരം.” ഇങ്ങനെ അന്ന് പരമേഷ്ഠിയായ രുദ്രൻ ദേവിയെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.
